Last I updated was before we took a trip back East. Exactly 3 weeks after we moved in, boxes were still everywhere, the kids and I flew back "home" for a 3 1/2 weeks stay. During the 3 1/2 weeks we were in IL, MO, IN, IL, IN, and OH (in that order). It was great seeing everyone!!! We had lots of time to spend with family and friends and just to relax. Brian only got to join us for actual Christmas and a few days before and after. The time went really fast though and he got some time to get things done around the house while we were gone and he was also all over the place on business trips too.
While we were gone a certain little boy turned 1!! Where has the time gone? Carson started walking at 10 months old and has not stopped since. He wakes up in the morning and is immediately pointing to go outside. There are days that it is cold in the morning but he has to get outside to his swing for a few minutes before he can even eat breakfast. Kaylee and Carson have such a great bond already. They love to play together and love to get on eachother's nerves. Carson already knows how to push his sisters buttons, man am I in trouble!!! This little boy just steals my heart!!
We just did small family birthday parties with him. He really had no clue on opening presents but by the time birthday and Christmas were done, he got the hang of it.Kaylee had a great time hanging out with her cousins while out east. She had many sleepovers with them and for the most part I don't see her much when we are with my side of the family. She is off playing with them and has so much fun being one of the "big" girls. She still at times asks if we are in California. I think it is sinking in as she talks about how far some people live and that it takes a plane ride to get to them, but sometimes she still talks about going to California. She is too funny. Here is one thing she said recently: "Mom, my back hurts." Me: "oh yeah, where does it hurt?" Kaylee: "behind me."
I am still working on the house. I have the kids room and the kitchen painted. When I get the family room painted then I will get pictures hung and then take pictures of the completed project for you!! It is coming along nice and we are loving the area. I can not believe the weather around here. It is colder at night but by 9a.m. it is warm enough to head outside. We met a great friend at the park one day before moving in and now we hang out almost every day. Kaylee and her daughter are inseparable and even ask to "call" eachother when they are not together. They have so much fun and her mom has been a great friend for me too!!!
Brian is loving his job. Things are starting to pick up more and he is getting to know more of the guys that he works with. He gets a free membership to the gym next door so we get some great workouts there. Which is good to get my butt in gear and lost this "baby weight" that is sticking around:(
I will have more updated later but wanted to atleast get a post on here so I didn't go any longer with no posts.
