7 Months Old and someone else's birthday:)

This was actually taken when he turned 6 months old but it is my obsolute favorite picture of him.

Just to document a few things for when I do his 1 year book (I should have started this but have not, but no fear, I will get it done shortly after his first birthday).

Teeth: 5 and more coming in shortly
Sitting up on your own (5 months), knocking down blocks (6 months)
We have caught you saying "mom" and "dad" but not towards anything but I am still saying you said "mom" first:)

In other words, it is also my birthday today. I have to document that this year, Brian did a great job on a present:) In the past years, I have either not gotten anything or something that I am not sure I would use but he wants to use (like a miter saw - theres a story behing that one).

We had a conversation that I don't need gifts but just to know that you think of me and have put some thought into my birthday. This year, he did buy a gift, but his thought into it is what made it so good. I have been getting into photography more. Not that I want to start a business because I am no where good enough for that, but I just don't like the traditional photo sessions in stores with fake backgrounds (hope that doesn't offend anyone) and I want to take pictures of my kids that look professional. We have a nice camera that I know the basic settings on and we have photoshop CS2 that I know how to do some basic things with. So, this year, he got me two things for my birthday!! One is a computer program that is an addition to photoshop that makes things easier. You load it on the computer and it works with photoshop but to do some of the lighting and contrast tools, it is much easier that having to work with layers and such (which I don't understand). Then, he is watching the kids this saturday while I take a camera class to learn the more advanced setting of our camera. I am so excited!!! Anyways, thank you hubby, love you!!!

Thank you all for the birthday wishes

Birthday Fruit

If you ask Kaylee what her favorite food is, she will reply.....chocolate:) Next is fruit!!! Since she had a lot of chocolate while on vacation (I will blog about that later), I decided to try my hand at a fruit cake. She loves princesses but I thought trying to do an actual princess would be a little too hard on my first try, so I did a crown. It looks better in real person and was actually pretty easy (time consuming, but easy).

Here is the end result: made with strawberries, bananas, and blueberries for the jewels.

Not sure if you can tell, but she is not feeling good in this picture. She has not eaten anything all day (which I have even offered her chocolate). She is currently taking a nap, which she has not napped in about a year so this hsould hopefully help.

3 YEARS OLD!!!

Kaylee: "So where is my birthday?"

Mom: This is it baby, you are now three!!!!!

I hope you have a special day today. Your daddy and I love you so much!!!

More to come.....
