Who knew that being in a Bible study with some amazing women would end up challenging me to be a better person and wife? I love my bible study girls and can't wait to meet every week.
Who knew that your 2 year old could embarrass you? ok, most people knew this one and know that it is not the last time. (In target yesterday, a lady was wearing very low rise jeans. Kaylee noticed her and noticed that her undwerwear was hanging out in the back. She turns to me and asks loudly, " she wearing diapers, mama?" I turned down another isle quickly and changed the subject. Not sure where she got that it was diapers, but it was not a pretty site.)
Who knew that having your eight week old finally sleeping a 6 hour stretch at night could feel so good, except that at 4a.m. when he is awake for over an hour because he just slept for 6 and thinks it is time to play? This is also the best time for smiles and so I can't really be upset for being up at 4a.m.
Who knew that potty training could be so exhausting and frustrating? Every time we get Kaylee most the way potty trained, she decides she does not want to do it anymore and then just keeps going in a diaper or pullups. This past time she has refused to wear big girl underwear but was keeping her pull up dry all day,but now is refusing to go on the potty again.
Who knew that the ice that is on the roof could cause me to call 911 at midnight last night? (It was around 11:30p.m. and we were just about to turn off the light and go to bed. When all of a sudden we hear a loud "boom" on our roof. My husband's protector side of him kicks into gear. We check the rest of the house and the kids and then Brian throws his coat on and checks around outside to see what happened. We decide it must be the ice on the roof and we hop back in bed. We just turned out the light again, this time being midnight, when it happened again but even louder. I didn't even hesitate, but called 911. The lady on the other end asked about the ice and I replied that it very well may be but for it to happen twice right after we turn out the light, just seems a litte weird. She agrees and sends out a car to us. Kind police officer arrives and he and Brian check around the house again. Thankfully, no tracks in the snow showing that anyone has been near our house and the police office states, kindly, but with a bit of sarcasm, that no one is on the roof in this cold:) 12:30 a.m. now and we are back in bed. Guess who couldn't sleep after that?
Who knew that you could pack swimsuits and snow suits together in a suitcase for said activities in one weekend? Seems a little weird to be thinking of doing both of these activities but it wil be fun.
Who knew that it would be so much harder to lose the baby weight after their second child? I am blaming it being cold outside and being cooped up inside, not that I have not eaten as well as I should be to lose said weight.
